The RP 18qt Cool Box (preset to 63F w/ capacity of 15-20 doses) is a 12v, thermal-electric cool box that utilizes a bi-directional temperature controller that can direct electrical current through a ceramic (peltier) chip to generate heat or cooling depending upon what is needed.
Capacity is 15-20 doses depending on how the doses were packaged (in tubes, bottles, bags or bulk).
Optional Accessory (# 989060 ): 110v to 12v Power Transformer for operating the unit on 110v power.
Note: This unit works best when placed in a house, office or vehicle where the ambient temperature can be controlled. It functions best when the desired target temperature is within +/- 15F of the area in which it is running. For example: If the target temperature is 63F (ideal temperature for storing swine semen), the unit should in an area where the temperature will be between 48F and 78F. If the temperature is either higher or lower than this range, the unit will not be able to generate enough heating or cooling to maintain the 63F target and the internal temperature will begin to stray off target.
