We carry a wide selection of insemination/infusion tubes to fit a wide range of preferences. From 18" through 30", standard-bore or large-bore, plain tube to drilled end or adapter fitted, we have the tube you're looking for.
Tubes have an inside diameter of 0.11" (2.8mm) and an outside diameter of 0.196" (5mm). They are used for either insemination of animals via syringe or for the infusion of medications into larger animals via syringe.
Cattle - Common lengths used in cattle include the 18", 21" and 22".
Equine - Common lengths used in equine are 21", 22", 25" and 30". Note: The 30" Equine Infusion Tubes can be found under Equine Deep Horn IUI Pipettes.
There are multiple options available in these sizes, including:
- Standard - The basic tube with no modifications or adapters with an I.D. 0.11" (2.8mm) and an O.D. of 0.196" (5mm).
- Large Bore - The 18" and 21" are available in a 'Large-Bore' where the inner diameter is 0.16" (4mm) and the outside 0.225" (5.7mm) for higher viscosity solutions.
- Drilled End - These tubes have had the end bored 0.32" (8mm) to match the tip of a luer-slip syringe with an inside diameter of 0.16" (4mm).
- w/ Adapter - These tubes have the #101040 tube adapter pre-attached for connection to a luer-slip syringe.
It is a matter of preference - some prefer a direct connection between syringe and tube (drilled end) and some prefer the flexibility that the softer syringe adapter offers.
All of these versions are offered as bulk packs of 25, or most commonly individually wrapped sterilized packs of 25.
